I have said it before & I will say it again: Edward aside, Alice Cullen is my favorite character in the Twilight Saga! She is so sweet and funny & I love how caring and protective she is of her family. That said, I am thrilled to announce my latest giveaway! "I started making the Alice Cullen gloves when I first saw the picture of her in the blue outfit, the gloves were adorable and knew I could make them! I learned to knit in High School, but my interest didn't start peaking again till about 4-5 years ago, that was when I started to accumulate my collection of yarn! Fast forward 4 years and I had about 400 balls worth in various locations around the house. I was making more and more each day and then my sister introduced me to etsy! From New Moon Movie: "Werewolves just aren't good company to keep!" And her look at Bella as Jacob is leaning into the car.
Overall: When Jasper is telling his story and she chimes in at the end to talk about the diner, it's so sweet. I can't wait for Eclipse!

My favorite part with Alice is in Eclipse:
"Alice told me what she'd seen of Carlisle and his family. I could hardly believe that such an existence was possible. But Alice made me optimistic. So we went to find them."
"Scared the hell out of them too," Edward said, rolling his eyes at Jasper before turning to me to explain. "Emmett and I were away hunting. Jasper shows up, covered in battle scars, towing this little freak"-he nudged Alice playfully-"who greets them all by name, knows everything about them, and wants to know which room she can move into."
Alice and Jasper laughed in harmony, soprano and bass.
"When I got home, all my things were in the garage," Edward continued.
Alice shrugged. "Your room had the best view."
They all laughed together now.
I know it's a long scene/part, and that I could have shortened it, but I felt like you needed all of it, to understand and really like it. Hope that's okay?

Alice is by far my favorite female character of the entire Saga! There are so many amazing quotes to pick from but I'd have to say my favorite scene/quote is in Eclipse when Bella returns from escaping with Jacob and Alice looks mournfully at her present from Edward and says,"I never even got to drive it."

My favorite scene from the books is when Alice and Edward are playing chess!
"Edward and Alice playing chess was one of the funniest things I'd ever seen. They'd sat there nearly motionless, while Alice foresaw the moves he would make and he picked the moves she would make in return out of her head. They played most of the game in their minds; I think they'd each moved two pawns when Alice suddenly flicked her king over and surrendered. It took all of three minutes."

ReplyDeleteSo I know Alice has a ton of great quotes, and I'm too lazy to go look them up. The first one that pops comes to mind (because I use it frequently in conversation) is from the Twilight movie, as they prepare for baseball:
"It's time!"
I also like her line in the NM movie when she first comes back to Forks to check on Bella and realizes Jacob is a wolf; she steps outside and Bella panics, asking her if she's coming back. And she says:
"As soon as you put the dog out."
I like Jacob, and that still makes me LMAO :)

Reason being is I am a die hard fan of Edward & although I grew to really like Jacob in the movies, in the books he totally irked me the whole time. He was just such a nuisance in their relationship. So, Alice with her little digs made me happy. Lol. Also she's my second favorite charachter, aside from Edward ofcourse.
