Anna Kendrick To Star Opposite James McAvoy & Seth Rogan

According to THR, Anna Kendrick is slated to star opposite James McAvoy & Seth Rogan in a new dramatic comedy:

The company's untitled cancer dramatic comedy starring Seth Rogen and James McAvoy lost its director in November when Nicole Holofcener jumped ship due to locations differences.

Now Jonathan Levine has been hired to replace Holofcener and Anna Kendrick, riding high off her performance in "Up in the Air," has also joined the production.

McAvoy stars as a 25-year-old who learns he has cancer, a character based on the real experiences of screenwriter Will Reiser who was diagnosed with cancer in his mid-20s and successfully battled the disease over several years. Rogen also has a role in the film.

Kendrick will play the role of Katherine, a young psychologist assigned to handle Adam's case despite her lack of real life experience.

Reiser is executive producing along with Mandate president Nathan Kahane. Mandate's Tendo Nagenda is co-producing.

The film will begin principal photography in February 2010 in Vancouver, which is incidentally Rogen's home town.

Sweet! The projects just keep rolling in for Anna! :) Good for her! I am very interested in seeing this movie! I too was diagnosed with cancer at age 26...it will be interesting to see this one!

Dakota Fanning on Cover of V Magazine; Talks The Runaways

Dakota Fanning is going to be on the cover of V Magazine which will hit newsstands on January 14th. She talks about The Runaways & her sexy kiss with costar Kristen Stewart:

Dakota Fanning is amused that she is finally able to wear a size zero clothes without having them taken in. Dakota told V Magazine: ‘Now that I’m getting older, I’m finally getting to the point where I can fit into those things’.About her role on The Runaways (sexy wild child rocker with a girl-on-girl kiss), she dished: ‘I really enjoyed doing that subject matter for the first time in a biopic, because it really happened, it’s not just a made-up story about a 15-year-old running wild. It’s a true story of her evolution from good Valley Girl to bad rock ‘n roll princess’.

She shared about her kissing Kristen Stewart: ‘It’s passionate,they were just as close as two could get’.

About drugs, specially the cocaine: ‘It’s actually crushed B vitamins. Kristen and I were, like, our hair is gonna grow a lot from these’.

Wow! Dakota looks great, totally reminds me of Twiggy in that picture! I am really looking forward to seeing The Runaways!

Living Things were going to do the music for the runaways film it didn’t end up happening but what was fun is that we learned all the songs and jammed them for Kristen Stewart and Dakota Fanning when they were rehearsing. It was amazing working with the girls. We’d be playing and Dakota would go kind of nuts and start screaming the lyrics—she’s an incredible actress. She’s really graceful, would show up on set with a backpack and pastel cardigan, but as soon as the music started she became Cherie Currie, super aggressive forward powerful, owning the microphone, she really really nailed it. Kristin Stewart completely nailed Joan Jett too. She’s legendary, we played at the Roxy and Floria brought Kristen and Kristen had the full on Joan Jett haircut and she had her hood up. Anyone that’s really talented has a lot of focus—Kristen a deep peace in it, even when playing a chaotic punk.

Kirsten Prout Talks 'Eclipse' & Her Character, Lucy

MTV chats with Kirsten Prout, who plays Lucy in the Twilight Saga Eclipse:

"I've always been on the good side. I've never played a villain in my entire career. I'm the girl next door, or the girl who helps out, or the girl that makes an innocent escape. For once, I got to look all innocent and have that angelic quality, and then, all of a sudden, turn into something really dark," Prout, who starred on the TV series "Kyle XY," told Iesb.net. "That was fun for me. That was the first villain that I've ever played."

Like Rathbone's onscreen love, Rosalie, played by Nikki Reed, (MyTwilife: Rosalie is not Jackson's onscreen love, Alice is) Prout gets in on the backstory action in the movie as well. "Without revealing too much, Lucy is one of the vampires that turns Jasper, played by Jackson Rathbone. Jasper gets turned while he is an officer, and I'm one of the vampires that causes Jasper to be turned during his military career," Prout added. "Lucy appears to be an innocent little victim, and then she turns into something a lot more sinister."

Not only did Prout get along "really well" with Rathbone, she also raved about the franchise's third director, David Slade. "He's a great guy because his way of working is so open. He just says, 'Do what you do,' and lets you play with it. If he has notes, he gives them to you, but he's a very open director. He keeps it light," she explained. "He loves his job and he's very serious about it. He's a great director."

But before she got to work with Slade, she had to audition for her role. And instead of reading from the script, she read straight from the book. Why? Because all things "Twilight" are shrouded in mystery until they are ready to be revealed to the film's stars. "The technique that they used for the audition was that they made the scenes exact transcripts from the book. It was very strange to audition with them because they were written to be read and they weren't adapted yet. They didn't give the screenplay out. So, the audition side was just reading a page of 'Twilight' and reading the lines that were interspersed between the descriptions. That's what it was like," she revealed. "They could never distribute that. Even when I got the job, the secrecy was so high in the 'Twilight' world."

Just makes me wanna go see it again! Hmmm...I think I will tomorrow! In fact I think the Hubs agreed to it earlier today. It went something like this:

Me: New Moon is playing at the cheap theater now, you should take me to see it tonight. (You see, he only agreed to see it the first time with me because the tickets were free, so I knew the "cheap" part would reel him in)

Hubs: *inhales slowly* Well, tonight is video game night. (You see even though he is 29 years old, him and his buddies still get together and play video games till the wee early hours of the morning like they are 12)

Hubs: *says very sweetly* But we could go tomorrow night. (long pause...Hubs is looking confused...lightbulb turns on) Wait...what am I saying?!

Me: *Laughing* HA! Yay!!! We are seeing it tomorrow!!!!

Hubs: *still looking stunned*
