Hurricane Bells is hosting a pretty cool contest & here are the deets:

Win a Twilight Soundtrack DVD and Hurricane Bells package.  Starting today, we are inviting fans to post their own version or interpretation of the Hurricane Bells Song, “Monsters” which was featured in the film and soundtrack for Twilight: New Moon.  

To enter the contest, post a YouTube link onto the Hurricane Bells Facebook page.  We will announce one winner each week for four weeks.  Each winner will get a brand new Twilight Soundtrack DVD (to be released Dec 4), a signed Twilight: New Moon official soundtrack, a signed Hurricane Bells "Tonight is the Ghost" CD, a signed Hurricane Bells "Down Comes the Rain" EP, and a Hurricane Bells T-shirt.

'Twilight' Kiss Named One of the Decade's Best!

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart's kiss in Twilight has been voted one of the best kisses of the last decade.

The tender moment, which occurred in the first film in the vampire saga, came fourth in the survey.

Madonna and Britney Spears' infamous lesbian kiss at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2003 topped the poll conducted by department store Selfridges.

A source described the kiss as “one of the most memorable moments ever”.

"Madonna performing with both Britney and Christina was a big enough event in itself, but nobody - even the MTV people - expected what happened,” they added.

Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst were second for their romantic embrace in Spider-Man, while Heath Ledger and Jake Gyllenhaal's kiss in Brokeback Mountain came fourth.

The top-five was completed by Scarlett Johansson and Penelope Cruz for their kiss in Vicky Cristina Barcelona.

The survey was conducted by Selfridges ahead of the opening of its kissing booth at its flagship store in London next month.

I agree...that kiss was hot...makes me tingle every time I watch it!

Old, But Swoon Worthy Deleted 'Twilight' Scene

I was over learning more about Fragile Little Human when I spotted this video clip (which is where her blog name came from) and just swooned all over again...even though you too have probably seen this...it is SO worth seeing again! *sign*

And since we are talking about swoon worthy Twilight Scenes, I HAD to include the EPIC cafeteria scene...which is probably my all time favorite Twilight scene...I mean when Edward comes in...***SQUEEEEEEE****

10 'Twilight' TV Shoutouts From MTV

MTV rounded up 10 totally "Twilight" TV shoutouts (in no particular order) & here they are:

1. "The Office"

The NBC series gets not one, but two gold new moons—see what I did there?—for their hilarious "Twilight" twofer. The first took place during the Halloween episode "Koi Pond" when the employees of Dunder Mifflin organized a haunted house featuring two bloodsuckers—a traditional Count Dracula (Creed Bratton) and one we can only assume was meant to be Edward Cullen (B.J. Novak). When the Count cries "I want to suck your blood!" Edward (a.k.a. Ryan) responds, "That's really not the trend in vampires right now." So true! And then, just last night, Jim (John Krasinski) bought Kelly (Mindy Kaling) an Edward Cullen poster. We knew we loved this show for a reason!

2. "Vampire Diaries"

Skewering its vampire competition (and arguably the franchise that cleared the way for the series' own success), bloodsucker Damon (Ian Somerhalder) cozies up to a copy of Stephenie Meyer's original tome. "What's so special about this Bella girl?" Damon asks his human chew toy Caroline (Candice Accola). "Edward's so whipped." When she asks why he doesn't sparkle in the sun, he responds, "Because I live in the real world where vampires burn in the sun."

3. "Jeopardy"

I'll take Robert Pattinson for $200, Alex. Oh, if only. During the quiz show's recent Teen Tournament an entire category was dedicated to "Twilight" The Novel. Any die-hard fan would have made it to Final Jeopardy with these easy peasy questions. We won't give away the answers in case you want to play along. Check out the "Jeopardy" airing here!

4. "Cougar Town"

Who knew Courtney Cox was a Twilight Mom? On the Nov. 4 episode, 40-something Jules (Courtney) confessed to hunky neighbor Grayson that she had a naughty dream about him. When he seemed a little too pleased with himself, she deflated his puffed-chest with this laughable admission: "Relax stud, I have sex dreams about everybody—the president, Gene Simmons, Edward from 'Twilight.' Oooh, that sweet Edward." But seeing as Edward is really in his 100s, that doesn't make Jules much of a cougar after all.

5. "SNL"

It took the usually timely sketch-comedy series a year after the first film's release to lampoon it, but "SNL" finally sank its teeth into "Twilight" with the awesome parody "Firelight." Perhaps it was worth the wait just to see Taylor Lautner's maybe-girlfriend Taylor Swift brood as Bella Swan. Check out the entire parody here!

6. "Criminal Minds"

During an investigation, the crew attempts to hack into a laptop and has success with the password "Cullen," much to the consternation of Dr. Spencer Reid (a.k.a. our past Hump Day Hottie Matthew Gray Gubler). "What's 'Twilight'?" he asks. Oh, where to even begin? We guess that guest appearance by Jackson Rathbone last season didn't leave much of an impression on Spencer, huh?

7. "90210"

Dunder Mifflin employee Ryan wasn't the only one to dress as a "Twilight" universe member this Halloween. So did Liam (Matt Lanter) on "90210." OK fine — not really. Still, during the show's costume party—the one in which Teddy (Trevor Donovan) is indeed garbed like Count Dracula—Liam is asked by a party-goer if he's supposed to be a certain bed-headed Brit. "You're Rob Pattinson, right? I can tell, 'cause you have messy hair." That's what you get for wearing flannel in Beverly Hills.

8. "Hannah Montana"

Miley Cyrus' now-defunct Twitter account isn't the only place she name drops RPattz. In an episode of her Disney series, Miley talks about potentially being set up with Rob. Real-life Miley, however, didn't feel the warm fuzzies for the actor until a few months ago tweeting, "Gave a hug to Rob Pattinson today. Ok girls I get it now. So cute. Sorry 'Robby' bout all my bashing in my past : )."

9. "Late Night with Jimmy Fallon"

Host Jimmy Fallon must really enjoy hanging from trees and affecting a British accent, because he's made his gag "Robert is Bothered" a recurring bit on his show. After taking jabs at sharks and Snickers, our favorite is still the original when RPattz rumbles with "Harry Potter" costar Daniel Radcliffe.

10. "Attack of the Show"

Though the final installment of the "Twilight Saga" has yet to be greenlit for the big screen, the folks over at G4 wasted no time putting together a "Breaking Dawn" spoof featuring Peter Facinelli. It must be seen to be truly appreciated — watch now!

After seeing Twilight the movie you mentioned that you wish you had thought of Bella catching a glimpse of Edward watching her sleep and thinking it was only a dream. Are there any new moments in the New Moon movie that you thought...I wish I had thought of that? Miss having you around the fandom, Nicole B. (Cocoa) Crestwood, KY

Hey Cocoa! I miss you guys, too! Hope you're well!

New Moon stays closer to the novel, so there aren't a lot of scenes that aren't closely related to the book. I am a little sad that my action movie—Crosshairs—is so generically titled. I like the name of the action movie they used for the film (they couldn't use Crosshairs because there is a movie named Crosshairs somewhere out there). It makes me laugh every time Kristen says it.

Also (and I don't consider this a spoiler because you've seen the trailers) there is a bit of a fight sequence in the Volturi tower now that isn't there in the book. At first, I had some resistance to this idea because in my mythology, if you start a fight with the Volturi, your story ends right there. It would have been kind of a bummer to have Edward, Bella, and Alice slaughtered in Volterra and no happy reunion scene (and no Eclipse or Breaking Dawn). But I worked with Melissa Rosenberg (the screen writer) and Summit until we came up with a solution that made sense with the story but also gave them the visual action they needed. And now that it's all put together and beautiful, I love it and kind of wish Felix had gotten his moment in the book.

Hi Stephenie! Texas LOVES you!!! In staying true to the novel, I'd like to know if there were any scenes missing from the original screenplay that you insisted be in the movie?? Thank you SOOO much!!!! -Trinity in Fort Worth

Sort of. In the original screenplay, Jacob's visit to Bella's room that one night didn't exist. The necessary information was still there, it was just scattered through a few other scenes. I really missed that scene, but change (and cutting!) is a part of the adaptation process—especially when you write really long books—so I was prepared to suck it up. And then Chris Weitz felt like we needed that scene, too, and he wrote up a beautiful version I love. And we all lived happily ever after.

I can't really choose just one. I love so many things. Bella's and Edward's first conversation in the parking lot...the painting...Jessica's monologue...the scenes in Jacob's garage...the first time you see the werewolves!!...Jacob in Bella's room (thanks, Chris!)...the underwater moment...what you see while Thom Yorke's amazing song is playing...everything in Italy...and I could go on. It's all so good.

My Twilife: And the Million $ Question:

Why in the world is Edward's volvo now black in the New Moon? - Kim B.

This wasn't my call. Picky as I am about cars, if I'd been rounding up the vehicles for Twilight, they all would have been the exact makes and models I'd written about (especially that '53 Chevy!). I don't know what all is involved with choosing the cars—I know they have to be able to get their hands on several identical vehicles—but I can say that I like this Volvo—the XC90—better than the first one—the C30. In regards to the color, it's actually a dark silver, not black. And I enjoy the black rims quite a bit.

Is there going to be a Breaking Dawn movie? If you are not sure of that, then do you wish there is going to be one? - Jamie C.

At this point in time, we're in talks. I would love to see BD made if it could be made well. It's a little bit trickier than the others.

While writing the books, were you ever unsure of whether Bella would choose Edward or Jacob, or did you always know she would end up with Edward in the end? - Samantha V.

I wrote New Moon and Eclipse after I wrote Forever Dawn, which is pretty much the rough draft of Breaking Dawn. So I always knew Bella's destiny was with Edward, and as her relationship with Jacob evolved and deepened through the course of the middle novels, writing about it was sometimes painful. Even knowing Jacob's eventual happy ending, it was hard to put him through all the heartbreak. I do know what would have happened if Bella hadn't jumped off the cliff that day, but I always knew that was a could-have-been that wasn't the right way to go.

Twilight to Return to Theaters for One Night

This just in from Summit Entertainment:

Responding to the fans of THE TWILIGHT SAGA, Summit Entertainment announced today that it will re-release TWILIGHT, the first film in the franchise, at select theatres nationwide on November 19th, a day before the highly anticipated release of the movie’s sequel, THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON. Despite the first film already being on DVD, fans across the nation have been calling out to see the film once again on the big screen and the studio is honoring their request.

Summit is working with exhibitors to screen TWILIGHT one night only with screenings in the evening just before THE TWILIGHT SAGA: NEW MOON arrives in theatres. Select theatres will offer tickets at a reduced price.
