10:23pm -- After the New Moon trailer airs, R.Patz and crew are whisked backstage, photogs trailing a few steps behind. When Pattinson finally dodges them, he gets a few secs to chug a beer and watch Beyonce's performance, bobbing his head to the beat.

MTV Delivers More Deets on New 'New Moon' Trailer
MTV gives us more details on the extended New Moon Trailer that is currently being shown before Sorority Row and will be shown Sunday during VMA's:SPOILERS AHEAD DO NOT READ IF YOU DON"T WANT TO BE SPOILED!
If the focus of the "New Moon" teaser trailer was on the breakup, and the focus of "Meet Jacob Black" was, obviously, to introduce a new werewolf Jacob, then the focus of this newest trailer is on what comes next. Most of the clip is set in Italy at the end of the film, when Bella is (spoiler!) trying to stop Edward from killing himself by turning himself over to the Volturi.
But there is much more to the trailer than just Alice's shiny yellow Porsche. The element that will probably get the most people excited is the inclusion of Dakota Fanning as the evil vampire Jane (only briefly glimpsed in the last trailer), who has the power to create illusions of pain. The new trailer opens up with a shot of her in Volturi garb and then shows the rest of the Volturi guard before revealing Michael Sheen's Aro — the head of the Volturi — snapping a poor human's neck.The trailer then hits lightly on Edward breaking up with Bella and the heartbreaking shot of her lying bereft on the forest floor. But it quickly moves on to Bella seeing a vision of Edward with his car at Forks High, and then we see Jacob comforting her after the fact. One of the locations the twosome are sitting at is the movie theater in the scene Mike Welch and Taylor Lautner fought so hard to keep in the film.
Director Chris Weitz showed how he kicked the CGI up to the next level by including clips of Bella trying to outrace visions of Edward on her motorcycle and a lot more of the cliff jump than was showed in "Meet Jacob Black." It is almost a work of art as Bella is floating under the water and sees Edward hovering upside down next to her after her jump. When an arm comes to pull her out of the water, she reaches out to touch Edward, and the illusion gets muddled and washed away.
The rest of the trailer revolves around Alice telling Bella about Edward's plan, Bella's epic run to save him, hints of some abs as Edward prepares to walk shirtless into the sunlight and some shots of the Volturi looking ready to kill spliced with a full wolf pack transformation. Bella's token line, "No, Edward, don't!" is thrown in for good measure, and the trailer ends on a high note, with Jane stating, "This may hurt just a little."Don't get me wrong, I am so excited to see this trailer, but I think they may be giving away too much from the movie...

Ashley Greene: VMA Fashion Correspondent
MTV reports that Ashley will be on the red carpet before the VMA's as a fashion correspondent!For the 2009 Video Music Awards on September 13, MTV is cooking up a feast of "Twilight"-y goodness. You probably already know that stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will be on hand to debut exclusive footage from their upcoming vampire saga sequel, "New Moon." But the manna from pop-culture heaven will actually begin before the show kicks off.
During the VMA preshow — which starts at 8 p.m. ET, an hour before the main event — "Twilight" star Ashley Greene (a.k.a. Alice Cullen) will be our celebrity fashion correspondent. She'll be on the A-list red carpet, bringing you live updates about what everyone's wearing and chatting with celebs as they make their way into Radio City Music Hall for the show.
Way cool! I am super excited to watch the pre-show now! I love fashion and Ash...match made in heaven!

Holy Hale! New Extended 'New Moon' Trailer Premiering @ VMA's!
MTV is my new best friend! Not only will Kristen, Rob & Taylor be appearing at the VMA's, but they will be debuting a NEW expanded version of the New Moon Trailer:"Twilight" stars Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner will appear on the show to debut an exclusive expanded trailer for "New Moon," the second film in Summit Entertainment's vampire saga.
We'll repeat that slowly for you: Fresh "New Moon" footage. Pattinson. Stewart. Lautner. Boom!
The film's first trailer premiered during this year's MTV Movie Awards, and now the 26th annual VMAs are shaping up to be another bonanza for devoted Twilighters. On the day of the show, MTV.com will debut the first single off the "New Moon" soundtrack, the Death Cab for Cutie tune "Meet Me on the Equinox." Based the second book in Stephenie Meyer's supernatural series, "New Moon" is set for release on November 20, while the soundtrack drops on October 20.
The VMA's will be on at 9 p.m. on September 13.
