So, if you remember, I told you a while back about how Jen of MyRobertPattinson.com sent Rob a Brand spankin' new Stoli shirt to replace his well worn Holey Stoli. (Don't remember that post, refresh your memory here.)

So, we are joining forces on Twitter, trying to get Rob to wear his new shirt by having a #NewStoliShirt Pound-A-Thon!

Jen explains the goal of #NewStoliShirt Thursday:

The goal is to "send the message" to Rob so that he obliges us and wears the shirt and gets papped in it for all of us to smile at! To achieve this goal, we hope to get #NewStoliShirt into the Trending Topics on Twitter and/or receive a tweet from @PeterFacinelli or @AshleyMGreene acknowledging our goal and granting us their help in sending the message.

Twilight Parents Examiner's Interview with Rob's How To Be Director

For those of you like me, who are awaiting the US release of Rob's movie How to Be, you might be interested in this. The Twilight Parents Examiner interviewed Oliver Irving, the producer of How To Be, and he gives us some insight into Rob & his character Art:

How was Robert Pattinson chosen for the role of Art? Did his musical ability play a role in his casting?

We found him after a year and a half’s worth of casting calls. He just seemed the right person for the job. He was interesting to look at – but down to earth enough to play the part. He really seemed to “get it” – he knew people like the characters in the script, and understood the main character ‘ART’. Not having gone through drama school, Rob’s acting and response to direction fit in well with other main cast members who were not trained actors either. Rob actually underplayed his musical ability in the auditions, as he knew the character was meant to be rough around the edges when it comes to musical ability – but it actually was invaluable in the end that he understood the music references and had the technical ability to pull off what we were asking from him.

How much of the film tour’s success do you attribute to Pattinson?

A massive amount – he brought a huge audience to our film which is all you can ask of a lead star. I think also the amount of festivals we had played up until that point and the strength of support from our fans really made it all possible.

How To Be: *New* US DVD Release Date

Just Jared Jr. reports that How To Be will be released on DVD November 17th:

The 23-year-old British actor plays Art in the dramedy, an aspiring musician and supermarket worker who is stuck in a rut. He’s just been dumped by his girlfriend and is forced to move back home to live with his emotionally distant parents. Art is hopeless and depressed until he discovers the best-selling self-help book “It’s Not Your Fault” and spends his inheritance money to hire the book’s oddball author, Dr. Levi Ellington (Powell Jones), as his live-in life coach to get him through his “quarter-life crisis” and help him be “more normal.”

The How To Be DVD, with an exclusive interview with Robert, never-before-seen footage, and a 50-minute making-of featurette hits stores on Tuesday, November 17th!

The release date was previously reported as Novemeber 3rd.
