Kristen Stewart Says Bella is not as Tortured in 'Eclipse' {plus talk of Edward's bedroom *wink*}

MTV has a great tid bit about Eclipse straight from Kristen Stewart:

It was that resolve, Stewart reveals in Entertainment Weekly's summer movie preview issue, that made the character much easier to play. "I wasn't as tortured as I was on 'New Moon.' Bella really knows what she wants in 'Eclipse.' She's not just a dumb kid talking because she's in love."

That's not to suggest that playing a more-focused Bella was a breeze. Though the teen matures over the course of the story, graduating from high school and getting engaged to Robert Pattinson's Edward, at one point she is pulled back into the romantic embrace of Taylor Lautner's werewolf Jacob. That scene was difficult, both because Stewart sees Lautner as something of a younger brother and because she understands that Bella truly loves Edward.

"It felt really weird kissing someone else as Bella. I was like, 'What the hell are you doing?' " she said. "It was a really strange experience — as it should have been."

And then there's an experience that fans have been looking forward to for years — one not strange at all but rather a long time coming: Edward and Bella's engagement. Producer Wyck Godfrey said the scene will more than fulfill expectations. "She walks into Edward's room, and there's a beautiful four-poster bed, and it's like, 'Wow, here we go!' "

GAH!!! I can't wait to see this movie.......

Kristen Stewart Feels Protective of Bella

Kristen Stewart feels she has become her ‘Twilight Saga’ character Bella Swan.

The 19-year-old actress feels “protective” of her big screen alter ego because their lives have progressed in a similar way.

She explained: “I feel like Bella has become something that is me, in a weird way. I feel very protective of her. Bella and I have been on a similar ride, in that during the second film she matures a bit. She’s making these drastic life decisions and she knows what she wants.”

“She’s got to know herself much better. I think I’ve done the same thing through this project. It’s been a wild ride and there’s been a lot of self-evaluation. I’ve grown a lot, and so has Bella.”

Kristen also revealed she was “heartbroken” when pictures of the cast – including Robert Pattinson and Taylor Lautner – filming the second movie in the franchise, ‘New Moon’, were leaked.

She told Top of the Pops magazine: “I was heartbroken when pictures were all over the internet. I didn’t want anybody to see certain looks, like Taylor in his wig, because we wanted to surprise people when the movie came out.”

Kristen Stewart Talks New Moon, Media Attention, Bryce Dallas Howard & More!

MTV: How about all the media attention that comes along with starring in movies this popular. Is it getting easier to deal with?

Stewart: I've gotten more comfortable with it. And the whole rumor/tabloid stuff, it's so obviously false to me. Even before I became a part of it, once I was sort of the star of that, it's like a show; it's like a ridiculous show. With false realism, like a soap opera that seems real, but you're not quite sure. It doesn't bother me; I don't take it personally.

MTV: In "New Moon," we see Rachelle Lefevre's final performance as Victoria. You've finished filming "Eclipse." What can we expect to see out of Bryce Dallas Howard as she takes over the role?

Stewart: It was really good [working with her]. Bryce is scary. She is really oddly sweet as well, so it's weird to see her switch back and forth. Victoria, for Bella, is an ever-present fear — even when Victoria isn't around, she is scared that she is coming back. Bryce is such a good actress, and it was easy to be scared of her.

MTV: The fans had some doubts about Chris Weitz when he was first announced as "New Moon" director, but obviously he was able to win them over. Why do you think he was the right filmmaker for this particular installment of the series?

Stewart: I think, to be a good director, you have to be a good person and you have to care about people. And I don't know a more compassionate human being. I couldn't have done this unless I had such a believable, comfortable, safe environment to be so vulnerable in — and he provided that, tenfold.

MTV: What can you tell us about the now-legendary "orientation guide" he gave you guys when you came on set?

Stewart: Chris did a very different thing that I've never had a director do. He put together a syllabus of what we were supposed to achieve and how he was going to make it easier for everyone — sort of an introduction to how he likes to work. It not only introduced the idea of collaboration but said, "Please, everyone, love it and be invested and work hard." It was very encouraging. It had technical aspects of [the shoot] — how he was so sorry that so much of the movie was going to be CGI stuff that we would have to react to — but that he was going to always make us aware of what we were acting with and never leave us high and dry like a lot of effects movies [do], because you don't know what you're reacting to. It was a full rundown of how he planned on making the movie. Most directors are like, "Have you put together notes for our meeting?" and it's like, "No. That's your job."

Behind The Scenes: 5 Things We Didn't Know About New Moon

MTV's Hollywood Crush Has 5 facts we didn't know about the Movie:

Our favorite on the list actually pulls from a scene in the trailer, where Bella (Kristen Stewart) is seen hitting wolf pack leader Sam Uley (Chaske Spencer). Apparently, even though Chaske has nine inches and (we’re guessing) over a hundred pounds on Kristen, she still left him black and blue after the 15 takes it took to get the shot. (Bet that was fun!)

"We did this scene and Kristen, she has a mean right hook," Chaske told MTV News (as seen in the video above) with a laugh. "She hits me — I think it's in the trailer. She hit me really hard, and I'm trying to be all guy-ish, show that she didn't hurt me in front of [the other wolf pack] guys, or I'll get teased. After 15 takes, ouch! She's a little firecracker." (I can totes see that!)

Another fun fact which also can be seen in the trailers have to do with the scene where Jacob (Taylor Lautner) jumps into Bella’s window in the Swan house. Apparently that window didn’t exist in the house used in “Twilight,” but production designer David Brisbin felt the scene was cool enough to make the change. (That does look like a sweet scene! Glad they added the window)

Speaking of houses, after the perfect home for Jacob Black was found, production designers had to repaint the house red because they were scared the color of the building, which was originally green, would upset detail-attentive fans. (Damn straight the house better be red!)

Fun fact number four is that director Chris Weitz put together a 20-page introductory pamphlet for the cast and crew the day they came on set so they would know his plan for the film – and to encourage them to improvise from there.

Finally, and most interestingly, the flight Bella and Alice (Ashley Greene) take from Seattle to Italy is clearly a Virgin America flight. This must have solely been because Virgin America bought advertising in the film, because no flights run from Washington to Italy. Sorry to those who were hoping to make that fan trek a reality.

The Twi Examiner's Interview with Kristen Stewart Reveals Her Fav Scenes

The Twilight Examiner had the chance to interview Kristen Stewart & since I think it is so cool when a fellow blogger gets a chance like this, I am posting my fav part of the interview:

Q: I want to know what your favorite scene is from the movie since you’ve seen it, and what you think the fans will most enjoy from the movie.

Kristen: What’s my favorite scene. I think I have to pick one with Jacob and one with Edward. My favorite scene with Jacob is when he comes through her window and they have the talk about the fact that she doesn’t know what’s going on, but she does know already and it’s right after this big sort of blow-out fight that they have and somehow they’re able to just not say anything - instead of actually talking about the fact that they were just so mean to each other and like they had this big fight, they don’t even say anything about it just instantly becomes – the second she sees him, just okay. And he’s totally like it’s so clear that he’s in a different place, it’s just sad. That’s my favorite scene in New Moon between Jacob and Bella. Then I think between Edward and Bella oddly enough sort of like the same sort of, the same but completely different. When I go to Italy and I push him back, well I mean when Bella pushes him into, out of the light I mean and they’re able to reconcile their relationship without even saying anything. And they just look at each other and it’s done. And it’s like so you left me for a year and I have a million things to say to you but not right now. Those are my two favorites. I like it when people know can each other without having to talk. Words sort of fail me consistently so those are my two favorites. What was the second part of the question?

Q: What scene do you think the fans will be most surprised by?
Kristen: I’m not sure.

Q: Or enjoy the most?
Kristen: Yeah, yeah, yeah. I always try to answer the question way too specifically. F***! I don’t know. I think maybe what’s most important to them; because this was definitely the most important thing to me, was the breakup scene – period. I mean like that was what I was the most scared of and hopefully if we did it justice enough, what they’ll be most excited about. And then probably when we get back together. Those are the highest points of the movie.

Read the rest here.

I love her answer to her favorite scenes, and I can totally see what she means about knowing both Jacob & Edward so well that in those situations, no words are necessary!
