According to THR, Anna Kendrick is slated to star opposite James McAvoy & Seth Rogan in a new dramatic comedy:The company's untitled cancer dramatic comedy starring Seth Rogen and James McAvoy lost its director in November when Nicole Holofcener jumped ship due to locations differences.
Now Jonathan Levine has been hired to replace Holofcener and Anna Kendrick, riding high off her performance in "Up in the Air," has also joined the production.
McAvoy stars as a 25-year-old who learns he has cancer, a character based on the real experiences of screenwriter Will Reiser who was diagnosed with cancer in his mid-20s and successfully battled the disease over several years. Rogen also has a role in the film.
Kendrick will play the role of Katherine, a young psychologist assigned to handle Adam's case despite her lack of real life experience.
Reiser is executive producing along with Mandate president Nathan Kahane. Mandate's Tendo Nagenda is co-producing.
The film will begin principal photography in February 2010 in Vancouver, which is incidentally Rogen's home town.

Sweet! The projects just keep rolling in for Anna! :) Good for her! I am very interested in seeing this movie! I too was diagnosed with cancer at age 26...it will be interesting to see this one!
